Perplexed means to confuse someone by giving them a confusing or illogical task, or by giving them an explanation that may not make complete sense to that person, Therefore, baffle them somewhat in the process.
Often someone may be perplexed if they are presented with an unnecessarily, or unexpectedly, complicated scenario.
The word perplexed is linked to flummoxed, mystify and bemuse.
The Cambridge Dictionary definition of perplexed is ‘confused, because something is difficult to understand or solve‘.
Perplexed is an adjective.
